We wonder, O God, at this life of ours. It is a good life, even when it is a hard life. The bright sun of one day of joy can erase months of clouds and darkness. We rejoice in Hope, and the resilience that is possible in your name. But we are human, and we fall to human ways. We are impatient for the promises of your kingdom, and fall to living in ways that make us less, that leave us feeling shame instead of joy. Forgive our sins we pray, and let us remember the future beyond this time and place, a future filled with happiness beyond our knowing. Help us to live lives worthy of your Promise, lives that are thoughtful of all Creation, and lives that honor the gift of daily breath. We ask in Jesus' name, Amen.

Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ. reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us.
Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

God, source of all light, by your Word you give light to the soul. Pour out upon us the spirit of wisdom and understanding, that, through the Scriptures, our hearts and minds may be opened to know your will in our lives. Amen.
