PSPC Worship Service

On this day of honor and thanksgiving we remember, O God, the sacrifice of your Son, the prince of Peace, and the victory of light over darkness. We remember the many blessings of grace and forgiveness. We remember the blessing of our freedom to worship you and live our lives in the footsteps of Christ. With so much, why then do we sin? How can we judge when we are forgiven, or be afraid when you are so near? Why is anyone hungry or homeless, or left alone without love? Forgive us, we pray! Let your Word make us pilgrims of light, bringing comfort to our brothers and sisters, and hope to a suffering world. We ask in Jesus' name, Amen.

Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us.
Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

God, source of all light, by your Word you give light to the soul. Pour out upon us the spirit of wisdom and understanding, that, through the Scriptures, our hearts and minds may be opened to know your will in our lives. Amen.
