Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
Our lives are made whole, O God, by your loving Spirit. We are reassured by your presence, guided by your promise, secure in our hope. Because of you our lives have purpose, and a meaning that extends beyond our understanding. We give thanks that our faith is meant as a source of joy, a joy that overcomes the world. But we ask ourselves, dear God, if I am a being of joy, why do I anger? Why do I judge and hurt others? Forgive us, heal us, replace the sadness of hurtful actions with forgiveness and reconciliation. Still our angry hearts, and build our faith of trust and action in your name. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder Christine Lutke |
There is no sin so terrible that God cannot forgive There is no hurt so terrible that God cannot heal In Jesus Christ, God has forgiven us and set us free! |

Passing of the Peace | Love Divine, All Loves Excelling | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |

Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
O God, light of the minds that know you, life of the souls that love you, strength of the thoughts that seek you, help us to know you so that we may truly love you and truly serve you, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. |
