Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
God, you are Creator of all things, and you have created us in your image. You have given us the power to discern, to help, to heal, and above all, to love as you love us. We are filled with awe and wonder that we are so blessed. Yet how, when we are so loved, can we not fully accept it? Why, when we are so trusted, do we not always respond as your people? Forgive us when we pass by the unloved, and judge the needy. Forgive us when we judge ourselves. O God, let us be overwhelmed by your light, healed by your hand, sustained by your presence always. We love you, and seek you, in Jesus' name. Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Dirk Voerman |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | O For A Thousand Tongues | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Guide us, O God, by your Word and Spirit, that in your light we may see light, in your truth find freedom, and in your will discover your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. |
