Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
Creator God, on this Sunday when we remember and celebrate our freedom, we give thanks for the faith of those who have gone before, giving up all so we may worship you without fear. Our blessings are beyond measure, from the beauty of this land to the joy of the diversity wrought by your hand. Hear our song, we pray, as we are filled with your song of life. Forgive us, O God, when we break covenant with you. When we despise or forget some of your children, or think you have forgotten us. Remind us of our common humanity, give us the strength to stand firm in love, and resolute in faith. Guide us, dear Lord, and change us! We ask in Jesus' name, Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder Jim DeHart |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |

Passing of the Peace | God of Our Fathers | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Guide us, O God, by your Word and Spirit, that in your light we may see light, in your truth find freedom, and in your will discover your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. |
