Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
I wait for you, O Lord, as I wait for the light of morning. In you, all that is dark surrenders to light. From you comes the grace that renews and the hope that strengthens. My song of life is bound like a gift to be opened, a song released by your love. I thank you, I praise you, I wait for the peace of your presence. In my impatience I get distracted by the noise of life. I am tempted by the shadows that come close, and am shamed by my unfaithfulness to your love. Forgive me, my God. Lift me away from shame, and help me stand tall and straight, a symbol of your love in a world that longs for you. In Jesus' name, Amen. |

Veterans’ Day Celebration | Special Music | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | Lead On, O King Eternal | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Guide us, O God, by your Word and Spirit, that in your light we may see light, in your truth find freedom, and in your will discover your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. |
