In these days of so much confusion, dear God, we rejoice in the assurance of your love and your Truth. When violence erupts we raise our shield of faith and give thanks, understanding your desire for us as your children. How blessed we are to know you, how glad our hearts to embrace you! We pray, Lord, that our hearts don't become smug and filled with judgment. We ask forgiveness if we fail to step forward for change, for your peace. We sin in our fear, and pray for your grace and guidance. Be with us, as your people not hiding, but engaging the world that needs you. Always in Jesus' name, Amen.

Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us.
Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Guide us, O God, by your Word and Spirit, that in your light we may see light, in your truth find freedom, and in your will discover your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
