Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |
||
Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder Sharon Ratliffe |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |

What sets this day apart from any other, O Lord? Nothing and everything! Each day is a gift of breath and hope, every minute a receiving of your timeless love. How could we ever take such blessings for granted, and yet we do. We think it important to gather possessions and measure our happiness by what we own. We look past the soiled and homeless in judgment and fear. Forgive us, we pray. Help us to see we are all your children, and that it is not what we have that matters, but what we give and share. Heal us by your love, that we, too, may be love in the world. We ask in Jesus' name, Amen. |
