God of power and God of light, we depend on you for strength in times of need, assurance in times of doubt, love in times of loneliness. Always, you are there, waiting for our call, our prayer. We are blessed beyond measure and thankful with every breath. You ask for nothing but our faith and a desire to live our best lives, remembering how Jesus told us to love one another. It should be so easy, Lord, but it is hard and too often we don't love. We are angry, we judge, we even hate. Forgive us! Heal Us! Make us new! Let our prayer be heard and our hearts filled with the love of Christ and fed by your Spirit. We ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us.
Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen
