Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
God of grace and glory, we look towards your heavens with awe, and are amazed at the beauty of Creation! Who are we to deserve such wonders? We are blessed to be here, in this place, surrounded by hearts that seek your voice, and when we sing, it is out of our love for you and hope in you. We give thanks, Holy One. We come, too, with hearts heavy from work and worry. In the busy-ness of our lives we look forward to time for ourselves, forgetting that even a moment spent helping someone else through a call or a visit can mean the world to another. Help us to remember the greater wealth of giving of ourselves and bringing a smile to a friend or a stranger. Lead us in your Way, we pray, in the name of the Christ. Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder Jeff Morgan |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |

Passing of the Peace | For the Beauty of the Earth | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen |
