Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
When we hear the wind in the trees, and feel it upon our faces, we experience your presence, God of all and Creator of life. In the presence of the Spirit our hearts become calm, even in the midst of a storm, for your strength is bold against all difficulty and your love protects the tender areas the soul. At the end of life we are held close in our loss, and in new life we are set free in hope and joy. We give thanks, always, for what we have been given. In our prayer we acknowledge with humble hearts the failings of our lives, the sins that get in the way of our purpose, your purpose. We ask with confidence for your forgiveness, grace and guidance, as we follow you forward into a lightness of being only known in you. In the name of the Christ we pray, Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Jim Pilgrim |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |

Passing of the Peace | Love Divine, All Loves Excelling | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |

Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen |
