* Call to Worship One: What joy we find in your presence, O God; Many: What hope we find in your promise. One: We walk together towards the Cross; Many: With every step we seek your Way. One: Around us barren land begins to bloom ALL: We come to you with thanks and praise!
|* Opening Hymn||In the Cross of Christ I Glory||Hymn #213 (1, 2, 3)|
Prayer of Adoration & Confession (unison)
It is a time for reflection O Lord, when we can stop and listen for your voice. A time for understanding the gift of life and the purpose of living. A time to be aware of our very breath, and unafraid of any darkness that faces us. With grateful hearts we look to you and trust in your love for us, a love that conquers all. In this time of prayer, we ask forgiveness for our sins, our failures born of ignorance and selfish motives. We pray that you would clear our hearts and minds from the shadows that pull us away from you, and renew the power of redeeming Grace that we need so much. We ask, always, in Jesus' name, Amen.
(A moment for silent reflection)
Assurance of Pardon
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us, Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all.
