* Call to Worship One: Sing to the Lord a new song; Many: Come before his presence with thanksgiving. One: The world is forever changed, Many: We are given a gift of life and hope; One: Let us sing praises that all may hear, ALL: Let all God’s Creation sing praises!

* Opening Hymn We Three Kings  Hymn #151(all)

Prayer of Adoration & Confession (unison)
We give thanks, O God, on this first Sunday after Christmas, for the freshness of a new year and a new beginning. The days that lay before us are untouched and filled with possibility. We have been reminded of the amazing presence of God-with-us, and what that means in our lives. We are excited that we can change, be renewed, be unafraid and embrace our days with confidence. Help us, we pray, to build our faith and forgive us when we fall away in our humanity. Our desire is always for you, for you are our light and our joy. We ask these things in the name of Jesus, the Christ. Amen.

(A moment for silent reflection)

Assurance of Pardon
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all.

For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
