Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
The glory of your Spring is all around us, O God. We can see the splendor of the mountains, and feel the renewal of life everywhere. There is a sense of expectation and wonder, a memory of hope to come, a memory that has followed us since childhood. We are deeply thankful for the gift of life, and Christ's victory over death. We are reminded of our human nature, and our need to be forgiven for wrongs done. In our comfort we might take the Cross for granted, as if forgiveness is needed by others but not by us. But we know this is not true, and come to you asking union with this Lenten season, renewal of our troubled hearts, and freedom from the distraction of spiritual winters. We come to you, the Way, a Truth and Light. In Jesus' name, Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder Kay Chabot |
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |

Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
