* Call to Worship One: We are here today to worship God; All: To remember that on this day Jesus was welcomed into the city of Jerusalem. One: With palm branches and singing the people greeted Jesus, chanting... All: “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord.” One: God's kingdom is breaking in upon us, and the one who brings it rides a lowly donkey, he has the hands of a servant. All: God's kingdom is coming! Let us open the gates of our hearts and minds. Let us sing in praise of the king who comes!

* Opening Hymn Hosanna, Loud Hosanna  Hymn #197 (all)

Prayer of Adoration & Confession (unison) Elder John Evans
Gracious God, on this day when many welcomed Jesus into their city and hailed him as the Savior, it is fitting that we join them, welcoming him into
our lives. But we are hesitant. We know he asks much of us. And we want so much to control our own lives, follow our own dreams, be as we want
to be. Forgive our self-centeredness, and open us more to the ways and attitudes of Jesus. For we pray it in his name. Amen.

(A moment for silent reflection)

Assurance of Pardon Elder John Evans
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us, Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all.

* Singing Gloria Patri  Hymn #581

For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
