Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
1 Morning has broken, Like the first morning. Blackbird has spoken, Like the first bird. Praise for the singing, Praise for the morning, Praise for them springing Fresh from the Word. 2 Sweet the rain's new fall, Sunlight from heaven. Like the first dewfall, on the first grass. Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden, Sprung in completeness Where God’s feet pass. 3 Mine is the sunlight, Mine is the morning. Born of the one light Eden saw play. Praise with elation, Praise every morning; God's re-creation of the new day. |

Life of the Church | My Tribute | Elder John Evans |
We come to you, O God, filled with the glory of Easter, in awe at the gift that has been given. Our lives were forever changed by the victory of the Cross and our personal relationship with you. We are humbled, yet emboldened in the assurance that light is always the victor in every aspect of living. Around us, your Creation casts its spell of beauty and sustenance, and you have called us to be stewards of your works. We seek to do your will, O Lord, and care for all that gives life. Yet, in our lesser nature, we plunder both people and wilderness. We become hardened to suffering, and greedy for plunder. We wonder then, who are we? Remind us, we pray! Heal and restore us; our souls truly cry out to thrive as your Easter people, filled with love, caring, renewal and the understanding that all of us are equally loved by you and called to prepare the Way, in flesh and earth, for every breath of life. Hear our prayer, O Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen. |

Passing of the Peace | Morning Has Broken | Congregation |
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us, Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
