Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Narcissis Tucker |
Leader: Today is Christ the King Sunday. We proclaim that Jesus is our King. That means that Jesus is the ruler of our life. Who is our king? People: Jesus is our King. Leader: Jesus is our Good King. Jesus takes care of his people, loves them, watches over them, helps them, defends them. Jesus’ rule for us is to love God and one another. Who rules our lives? People: Jesus rules our lives. Leader: Jesus is our Lord and Savior. He is our Lord, and we want to do what pleases him. We try to show love to one another and to those in need. Who is our Lord and Savior? ALL: Jesus is our Lord and Savior. |

Life of the Church | Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus | Dirk Voerman |
You have crowned Jesus Christ as Lord of all. We confess that we have not bowed before him, and are slow to acknowledge his rule. We give allegiance to the powers of this world, and fail to be governed by your justice and love. Forgive us, God, and fill us with compassion that we might seek out the image of Christ in the least of our brothers and sisters. Now in your presence we offer our silent prayers of confession that we might hear our names called among the faithful when you come again in glory. |
||
Passing of the Peace | All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name! | Congregation |
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |

Prelude | Come, Christians Join to Sing | Praise Band |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
