Prayer of Adoration & Confession (unison)
O God, we are filled with joy and expectation as we wait for the birth of your son, Jesus. We know that on that day the world was forever changed, and we were given new life. Such a generous gift is beyond measure, and we are humbled. Help us to repair our fallen ways, and make room for the Lord in our hearts. Help us to heal the brokenness of the world, to make way for your light. In you we find our strength, help us to embrace your plan for us, and to be your hope for others. We ask in Jesus

(A moment for silent reflection)

Assurance of Pardon
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all.

For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
