* Call to Worship
One: O Lord, our God, we come today to praise you;
Many: To grow and dwell as one loved family.
One: O Lord, our God, we come to get your blessing,
Many: To lift the glory of your name in song,
One: With joy we come, not one of us divided
All: By Grace we come, before your holy light.

* Opening Hymn All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name!  Hymn #263 (1,2,3)
One: O Lord, our God, we come today to praise you;
Many: To grow and dwell as one loved family.
One: O Lord, our God, we come to get your blessing,
Many: to lift the glory of your name in song,
One: With joy we come, not one of us divided
All: By Grace we come, before your holy light.

Prayer of Adoration & Confession (unison)
God of love and light, we thank you for the beauty of this day. Our blessings are many, even if our possessions are few, for the gift of life is of more value than earthly treasures. Every day is filled with new hope and possibility if we trust in your care for us. We seek your forgiveness when we doubt the value of our life, of any life. We ask your help to lead us into lives of forgiveness, renewal and generosity of heart. Your world is amazing, O God, and our hope is to celebrate each day as your children of light. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

(A moment for silent reflection)

Assurance of Pardon
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all.

Prayers of the People & Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Nicene Creed Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen

Prayer for Illumination
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen
