One: We gather to give thanks for God

In you, O God, I find refuge; in you, I find strength. Through you, I accept a love that is beyond my understanding, love that transforms and redeems. In the desert light of Spring, wildflowers overwhelm the barren sand. The dunes are alive with color, and even the wheat grass gold of hills beginning to dry are a delight rarely experienced. It is your world, as we are your people. Even when we become gray with doubt and dark with fear, you reach out and hear our cries for forgiveness. You transform. You redeem. We pray for this spring light that is you to ignite our imagination and hope, reveal the bright color of our souls, and prepare us to both receive and give to all the gift of this Easter season. We ask always in Jesus~

Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all.

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen
