Welcoming | My Peace | Rev. Bruce Myers |
One: As Paul reminds us, we are slaves of the one whom we obey, either slaves to sin, which leads to death, or, to obedience, which leads to righteousness. By naming our disobedience, let us declare our determination to follow the ways of righteousness, and deny sin its power over us. All: God, you send us as prophets to proclaim your coming reign. You send us out as witnesses to embody your justice, kindness, and mercy. Yet we shrink from your call to serve as messengers of your kingdom. We cling to safe surroundings and turn from the demands of discipleship. Forgive us, we pray. Embolden us and send us again as heralds of your good news. |

Passing of the Peace | His Name Is Wonderful | Congregarion |
One: This we know to be true: sin has no dominion over us, for in Christ Jesus we have been brought from death to life. Therefore, trust in Godi |

Life of the Church | Great Is Thy Faithfulness (4/28/13) | Robert Bracken |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Alex Danson |
Holy, Holy, Holy One, guide us by the Spirit of truth to hear the Word of life you speak, and to give all glory, honor, and praise to your threefold name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. |
