Pre-worship Music Holy Spirit, Thou Art Welcome  Alex Danson
Our Outreach Committee continues to collect Children's School Supplies. Thank you to those of you that have donated, and we hope to collect even more supplies during the next few weeks. This year your donations will be more important than ever because as the children return to school they will not be permitted to share their supplies with other children, such as pencils, crayons, etc.

If you would like to donate to our Children's School Supplies, please donate only:

Pencils
Crayons
Erasers
Pencil Sharpeners

You may drop off your donations at the church on Fridays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.

If you have questions regarding our Children's School Supplies Fund, please call Pauline Gregg at 760-574-5658.

Please note, our church office hours have changed. Effective this week, our office will be open on Fridays only from 8:00 to 12:00. Our reduced hours are due to the continued Covid concerns here in our area.

Our events this week remain the same as our previous weeks: (be very brief in announcing the events as they have been held for every weeks for quite some time).

PRAYER AND PRAISE TIME
Our Prayer and Praise Time will be today directly following our service. Access to this meeting will be by the Free Teleconference on the screen:
Dial-in Number: 605-313-6176
Access Code: 695 864 # (Pause to give time to write the number down. Do not state the number and access code)

BIBLE STUDY
Pastor Bruce will be starting a new bible study this week with a journey through the Letter of Paul to the
Romans.

The first session will be on Thursday July 23rd at 1:30 pacific time. Paul’s letter to the church in Rome is known as his final letter and it
is his longest. Because it is his final letter many believe we find Paul’s most developed understanding of his call as an Apostle and the
mystery of Christ.
Access to the Bible Study meeting will be via Zoom. Please check your e-mail for instructions to join the Zoom meeting.

STAYING CONNECTED
Friday, July 24th at 11:30 AM PDT. Access o the Staying Connected meeting will be by the Free Teleconference on the screen:
Dial-in Number: 605-313-6176
Access Code: 695 864 # (Pause to give time to write the number down. Again, do not state the numbers)

Lynn Hamilton from our Mission Assessment Team would now like to provide an update on a very important effort underway that is critical to our church securing our call pastor. Lynn...

Gathering Song God Welcomes All  Hymn #399
ONE: A tiny seed that burgeons into a majestic tree
with branches that offer shelter and shade;
or yeast, hidden within a bushel of flour,
that transforms the dough in due time:
ALL: this is what the kingdom of heaven is like.
We gather will be more important than ever because as the children return to school they will not be permitted to share t

Welcoming My Peace  Rev. Bruce Myers
ONE: We do not always know how to pray
to the God who searches and knows our hearts.
Yet, the Spirit helps us in our weakness,
interceding for us with sighs too deep for words.
Trusting that the Spirit pleads for us,
let us come before the Lord in honest confession.

ALL: God, your kingdom confounds us.
You challenge our assumptions about right living
and stretch our understanding of what holds worth.
You reverse our expectations
and reorder our priorities
until they reflect your vision of well-being for all.
Your kingdom surprises us with grace upon grace.
But we cling to the values of this world,
which privilege products over people,
success over service,
and competition for resources over the common good.
Open us to new ways of living
that embody your desire for creation
and contribute to a commonwealth
marked by justice and joy.

Passing of the Peace O For a Thousand Tongues  Congregarion

Life of the Church For the Beauty of the Earth  Elder Pauline Gregg
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Prelude   Alex Danson
