Pre-worship Music | I Saw Three Ships | Alex Danson |
Good morning Palm Springs Presbyterian Church! We hope everyone had a very blessed Christmas and were able to be near or in contact with your loved ones during the holiday. We also hope you were able to join us for our beautiful Christmas Eve Candlelight service hosted by Pastor Christine, with many of our members and friends participating in the service and the joyous music provided by our own Alex Danson. We continue to monitor and comply with Riverside County Public Health requirements to ensure safety for everyone during this continued difficult time. For everyone's safety, the office will be closed until further notice. Should you need to bring your recyclables or visit the church for any reason, please call the office number and Peggy will make arrangements with you. It is mandatory that you wear a mask while in church, and keep social distancing We have no birthdays to announce for this coming week, but we will definitely continue celebrating the birth of our wonderful Jesus Christ. |

Gathering Song | God Welcomes All | Hymn #399 |
ONE: We gather to sing a song of joy! ALL: We come to celebrate the birth of the Christ; ONE: Emmanuel, God with us; ALL: Love has come into the world, a light shines in the darkness. ONE: What song do we sing for this wonderful gift? ALL: We sing a song of joy! |
||
Welcoming | My Peace | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
ALL: God our Creator, of all that is and shall be: our hearts are filled with such wonder and thankfulness. Out of love you came into our world, fully human, yet fully divine. You call us close to you, to reconcile us in perfect grace; forgiven, clean, renewed in light. In the glow of the manger we begin again to understand the wisdom of children, letting our hearts receive without question the invitation and the gift. We rejoice, O Lord, we accept in humility your hope, your peace, your love and your joy for us. When we forget the promise of this holy season, forgive us we pray. When our sins cast shadows of darkness, redeem us through your grace. Sustain the child in our hearts, and lead us forward always in your name, giving as you give, loving as you love. We ask in Jesus |

Passing of the Peace | I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day | Congregarion |
ALL: Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |

Life of the Church | Hark! The Herald Angels Sing | Elder Carole Rogers |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Alex Danson |
ALL: Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen |
