Pre-worship Music | At Calvary | Alex Danson |
Good Morning Palm Springs Presbyterian Church and Friends! We would like to remind our members of our Annual Congregational Meeting today after our worship, at 11:30. The meeting will be held via Zoom, so attendance can be by your computer or by telephone. All members should have received the Zoom instructions to join the meeting by email or by letter this past week. If you do not have the instructions, please give us a call at the office. During our Congregational Meeting we will be introducing the Pastor Nominating Committee nominees and our 2020 Annual Report, which will include our projected 2021 Budget. These topics will require your vote of approval. Therefore, a ballot will be sent to you shortly after our meeting for you to cast your votes on these topics. Your ballot can be returned via email or by letter to our office. We would like to encourage everyone to please cast your vote on these very important topics. Another very important topic that will be address during our Congregational Meeting is the status of opening our church for in-person services. Your Session has been monitoring our required COVID protocols by the City of Palm Springs and Riverside County, and will be prepared to share our recommendations on gathering in-person for our services, which we are all quite anxious to do as soon as it is safe for everyone. We would also like to remind everyone to please order your Easter Lily in honor of a loved one. Your donated lilies will be displayed on the altar during our Easter service. The donation for each lily is $10. Joyous birthday wishes go out to Janet Snyder and Don Shepherd. May God bless you, Janet and Don, with a very wonderful day and with great health and happiness all year long. |

Gathering Song | God Welcomes All | Hymn #399 |
As darkness gives way to light and winter sleep to fresh awakenings, we come today to be reminded of God's love for us. Like green shoots of renewed life, stirring beneath the soil, we welcome a wake-up call; God's word in our lives. In these 40 days of reflection and repentance, we re-claim our identity and our security, as children of God. |
||
Welcoming | My Peace | Rev. Sally Willis-Watkins |
Redeeming, renewing God, we confess that we have not loved you with our whole heart, and have not loved others as we ought; we have strayed from your commandments. We have looked after ourselves more than we have looked after community. Do not remember our sins, but forgive them, that we might fix our eyes on you alone, living as members of your new covenant. |
||
Passing of the Peace | We Are So Blessed | Congregarion |
Sisters and brothers, by the faithfulness of Jesus Christ our sins are forgiven. May we delight in the joy of our salvation. Hallelujah! Amen! |
||
Life of the Church | The Lone, Wild Bird | Kay Chabot |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Alex Danson |
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen |
||

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, to present yourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. Let us offer our lives to the Lord. Romans 12:1 |
