Lord, we begin by praising you as we give you all the honor and glory. As we honor you help us to admit that it is so easy for us to lose sight of your vision for us in this world. You have commanded us to practice justice, but we are more comfortable when it’s “just us”. You require of us a kindness but we are most at peace with our “own kind”. You have asked us to walk humbly beside you, but our self-centeredness refuses to keep pace. Forgive us for rebelling against you in what is called “sin”. Thank you for your forgiveness as you hear and answer our prayers in the name of Jesus Christ, our risen and living Lord and Savior. Amen

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
