Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Sara McCurdy |
In the power of the burning bush, in the quiet stillness, in the everyday noises of living, God is calling to each one of us, telling us to trust in the gifts with which God has bestowed on us. Trusting in God’s mercy we pray for forgiveness. For you, O God, have set your way before us, and we tremble to see it. It is not just suffering we are afraid to bear, but also the weight of your call. Lord, perhaps your voice issuing forth from a burning bush is what we need to shake us from our complacency. Forgive our slowness of action and heart. Quicken our spirits to accept the call you have for us. Give us courage and strength to do your will and help others in need. We ask these things in the name of Jesus our Lord. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder Pauline Gregg |
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |

Passing of the Peace | Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |

Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen |
