Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
We give thanks, O God, on this first Sunday after Christmas, for the freshness of a new year and a new beginning. The days that lay before us are untouched and filled with possibility. We have been reminded of the amazing presence of God-with-us, and what that means in our lives. We are excited that we can change, be renewed, be unafraid and embrace our days with confidence. Help us, we pray, to build our faith and forgive us when we fall away in our humanity. Our desire is always for you, for you are our light and our joy. We ask these things in the name of Jesus, the Christ. Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Deacon Jackie Morgan |
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |

Passing of the Peace | We Three Kings | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |

Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen |
