Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Narcissis Tucker Bishop |
One: May God be gracious to us and bless us; Many: May God make his face to shine upon us. One: May God |

Life of the Church | America The Beautiful | Elder John Evans |
We stand before you, O God, with grateful hearts. We are blessed with your love, the grace received through the sacrifice of your Son, and always, that the Spirit walks beside us. We are humbled. We acknowledge that we are also blessed with the freedom to worship you, to make known our faith, and to live in a place that we pray seeks to reflect your hope for unity and respect for all people. We ask for your hand to be upon us as individuals and a nation understanding the sacrifices made so long ago, and the victory of freedom, of will and conscience, that we celebrate on this day. Lord, forgive us when we forget these sacrifices and why they were made: So that all might be seen, find respite, and thrive. Help us to lead the way, and remind us of our humility and obligation to serve you by helping others. Lift the burden of confusion, we pray, and transform our hearts into flames of light and healing. We ask in Jesus¯ª²·µÄ |

Passing of the Peace | Congregation | |
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |

Prelude | God of Grace and God of Glory | Praise Band |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
