Thank you, God. Thank you for the mountains, the water beneath the sand, the deep blue of the sky and the whisper of the palms in the wind. Thank you, for this beautiful place we call home. The beauty of the desert shows us how your creation adapts, transforms, and is renewed in ways that seem impossible, but find possibility in you. Thank you, God. Help us to treasure the earth, and everyone who walks upon it. Forgive our prejudice and blindness, heal our sin of silence and complacency. Lead us, O Lord, to shout! your Truth and transform our passive hearts to hearts of love, compassion, and action in your name. In JesusedString

Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all.

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen
