Good Morning Palm Springs Presbyterian Church!

All of us at PSPC want to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to Pastor Bruce, who joined our church family on December 7th last year as our interim pastor and supplied our pulpit, our Bible study, our prayer and connect groups and guided our Session, our MAT, and nurtured and counseled our congregation. His last day will be November 16th, and we hope he carries with him our profound gratitude as well as to Rene who sang in our choir and was a huge help to Session on Stewardship. We ask God to keep the Myers in his care and guide and keep them healthy and safe as they go forward.

Your continued interest and generosity in the stewardship of our beloved church is so appreciated. Please continue to remember our financial needs during this difficult Covid time, if that is possible for you.

We would like to extend Happy Birthday wishes this week to a very special lady to us all, Patti Cameron. Patti has served as our Deacons Moderator and Prayer Chain Leader for the past few years. We wish you, Patti, a blessed day, and may God hold you in his hands for great health and happiness all year long.

ONE: Lift up your eyes to the Lord

ONE: Siblings in Christ,
though we are called to dedicate our lives to the Lord,
we have been timid disciples
who shy away from the demands of the gospel.
Let us, instead, strive to be faithful servants
by putting on the armor of love,
donning the helmet of salvation,
and standing firm in hope.

ALL: Lord, you have made us stewards of your creation
and commissioned us to carry out your work
to the best of our ability.
But we have not served you
with energy, intelligence, imagination, and love.
We withhold our gifts and live in fear.
Have mercy upon us, we pray.
Make us bold to use our talents
for the sake of your kingdom,
until you come in glory.

ONE: Even though we choose fear over faithfulness,
we do not lose heart.

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
