Good morning Palm Springs Presbyterian Church!

Our Mission Committee has received a request for travel size toiletries from Cal State University San Bernardino Student Nurses. The nurses will provide our donated toiletries to individuals in need as they are assigned to accompany medical staff to homeless encampments as part of their public health nursing rotation. Your donations can be dropped off at the church office on Fridays beginning this Friday between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Your donations to this efforts will be greatly appreciated.

Our sanctuary will soon be joyfully decorated with beautiful poinsettias for the Advent Season. We would like to invite you to donate $10 for one of the beautiful poinsettias in memory of a loved one. Your poinsettia donations can be sent to our office at:

Palm Spring Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 582, Palm Springs, CA 92263.

Please include a note with your donation letting us know it is for the Poinsettia Fund and the name or names of your loved ones you hold in precious memory.

Gathering Song God Welcomes All  Hymn #399
One: As much as we struggle to get things right, we must admit that we get ourselves all tangled up in confused thinking and questionable actions. We embrace the wrong things and trip over unseen snares. We frequently disappoint God with our flailing around. Yet God still invites us to come, to confess and to begin anew.

All: Welcoming God, you wait with outstretched arms for us to come into your embrace, to yield to your love, to be led by your Spirit. Forgive our foolish (and futile) resistance. Help us to rest in you, to hope in you fully, that we might be encouraged and energized for the work and life you have created for us. In the name of the One whom you sent to show us yourself, Jesus the Christ. Amen.

Welcoming My Peace  Rev. Ron Duvall
One: Since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand;
All; and we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God.

Passing of the Peace Do You Hear What I Hear  Congregarion
All: Your word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. May it always serve to guide our way.

Life of the Church O Come, O Come, Emmanuel  Lynn Hamilton
I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, to present yourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God.
Let us offer our lives to the Lord.
Romans 12:1

Prelude Gloria Patri  Alex Danson
God of unending gifts, we praise you for your abundant goodness.
As you are generous, we want to be generous too.
May the gifts we bring extend your generosity into the world,
so that all people may be made whole by your goodness and grace. Amen.
