|Gathering Song||God Welcomes All||Hymn #399|
ONE: May the peace of Christ be with you.
ALL: And also with you.
|Welcoming||My Peace||Rev. Thelma King|
ONE: O Come. Let us sing to the Lord and shout with joy to the rock of our salvation!
ALL: Let us come into God's presence with thanksgiving, sing joyful songs of praise.
|Life of the Church||Peace In The Valley||Elder Peggy Kueffer|
Remember that our Lord Christ Jesus can sympathize with us in our weaknesses, since in every way he was tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with boldness approach the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Let us confess our sins against God and neighbor.
(a moment of silent reflection)
|Passing of the Peace||O For A Thousand Tongues||Congregarion|
God of the future, you are coming in power to being all nations under your rule. We confess that we have not expected your kingdom, for we live casual lives, ignoring your promised judgment. We accept lies as truth, exploit neighbors, abuse the earth, and refuse your justice and peace. In your mercy, forgive us. Grant us wisdom to welcome your way, and to seek the things that will endure when Christ comes to judge the world
|Prelude||Gloria Patri||Praise Band|
Hear the good news! The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, that we might be dead to sin, and alive to all that is good. I declare to you in the name of Jesus you are forgiven. AMEN
|Call to Worship (Responsive)||My Hope is Built on Nothing Less (The Solid Rock)||Elder Peggy Kueffer|
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
|Opening Hymn||Just A Closer Walk With You||Hymn #610|
God of mercy, who caused all holy scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever fold fast the blessed hope of everlasting live, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ.
