Anthem We Remember Calvary  Hymn #181 (1, 2 & 3)
Gracious and loving God, we come into your presence to remember the last days and hours of Jesus’ life, and the meaning of his presence among us. We take this time to look into our own hearts, and seek the tether that ties us to the heart of Christ: A servants’ heart, one which washed the feet of the disciples to remind us that there is no difference between servanthood and leadership, that we are all one in you. We gather to remember that Passover meal of so long ago, and to give thanks that tonight we, too come to the table set for us by your love. We gather in humility as we understand the sacrifice our Lord made for us, and ask that you restore in us a desire and willingness to serve, to care for others, and to reflect your purpose for all your creation. Have mercy, we pray, when we fall short. Bring us to your season of Grace as we trace the tears Christ’s Passion, and surrender to the joy of Easter and the Resurrection victory that raises us to new life. We lift our prayers to you through Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit, as we pray in your name and for the sake of this world. Amen.

Please remain seated for the entire service. “Were You There”  Rev. Christine Dickerson
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Please remain seated until the Christ candle is extinguished, then leave in silence.
