Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
In you, O God, we take our delight. From you, O God, we receive love. Though we may not be understood by those closest to us, you know us full well, and care for us still. As we seek our path you walk with us, always. You are our Blessing! Yet though you are near, we wonder. We ask why bad things happen, we deny your presence when darkness lingers. We wonder why the way is not easy. Forgive us! Teach us to love ourselves and others. Lead us into letting go of our will so that your will might shine through us. Take away our regrets and replace them with hope and trust! For you are our Lord, and in your name we pray, always. Amen. |

Passing of the Peace | All Creatures of Our God and King | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
God, source of all light, by your Word you give light to the soul. Pour out upon us the spirit of wisdom and understanding, that, through the Scriptures, our hearts and minds may be opened to know your will in our lives. Amen. |

* Call to Worship One: Praise the Lord! Many: I will extol the Lord with all my heart One: Great are the works of the Lord, ALL: They are pondered by all who delight in them! | In My Life, Lord, Be Glorified | Hymn #64 (1,2 & 5) |
We believe we are here in Palm Springs to “proclaim the Good News of God by reaching out to others and inviting them into a new relationship with Jesus Christ. We commit ourselves, therefore, to be a center for spiritual growth and friendship, where the teachings of Jesus Christ are faithfully received and God’s grace is celebrated joyfully with Christian friends.” This we affirm in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. |
