Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
Creator God, each day we rise with new hopes for a new day. We give thanks that we are always able to learn and grow. We receive your grace with joyful hearts, and your love gives us strength to work for your peace and understanding in the world. Yet we grow weary, and sometimes wonder why there is so much hatred and division. We look away from rather than towards the pain around us. We are afraid. Help us, Lord. Soften our hearts and open our minds. Give us confidence and lead us in your truths. Forgive our avoiding ways, and raise us up to meet all where there are, where we are. We ask humbly in Jesus' name, Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder Suzanne Swartz |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |

Passing of the Peace | All Creatures of Our God and King | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Guide us, O God, by your Word and Spirit, that in your light we may see light, in your truth find freedom, and in your will discover your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen |

* Opening Hymn | Pass It On | (Psalm xx) |
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen |
