O God, you listen for our voices, and respond to our hearts. The light that is you replenishes us as we traverse life, and gives us hope when all seems lost. Your love is grace, and your promise, hope. Because of you we know recovery and joy, and appreciate the measure of our days. We live for you and because of you, yet still we often forget humility, generosity and kindness when it involves those outside our familiar world. Forgive our sins of self concern, and replace this emptiness with the fullness of being your people in action. Guide us we pray, in Jesus' name, Amen. |
