Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
Loving God, how can our human hearts perceive the glory of your Creation and the intimacy of your Grace? Were we to truly understand, our hearts would be overcome with a joy so great no trial of life would stand a chance against it. We feel your presence, and the mystery that is our faith is confirmed in every detail of earth, water and air. In friendships and community; in the laughter of the young and the wisdom of the old. You are with us, always. It is with confidence that we pray for forgiveness for our wrong doings, because when we ask in your name we can be sure of your response, your presence, and your strength. We ask that you lift the burden of our sins, that our goodness and desire to be transformed will become safe harbor for all who are in need of love and hope, and that through each of us, a life might be changed and your desire for your world, realized. We pray and we ask in Jesus’ name, Amen. |

Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us, Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |

Passing of the Peace | Open My Eyes, That I May See | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |

Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen |
