PSPC Worship Service

ONE: May the peace of Christ be with you.
ALL: And also with you.

Leader: Let us gather together to worship our God.
People: O God, we know how much we need you.
Leader: You provide us with nourishment and strength for our lives.
People: God, grant us wisdom to see your path.
Leader: God, give us courage to walk in your way.
People: God, we have heard your call.
Leader: We know that you have called us to right living and to acts of compassion.
People: God, teach us how to care for ourselves and our whole community.
ALL: With your example, we will care all your creation.

ONE: All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God; yet God is merciful as well as just, quick to hear and to forgive. Let us then boldly confess our sins before God:
ALL: O God, you have called us to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, and to care for all those oppressed or marginalized. But we confess that we have not even cared for ourselves as you call us to do. We are tired, and we find exhaustion in your world when you have meant all creation for our joy. We know that service to you will set us free and bring meaning to our lives, and harmony to all creation, but we have not followed the path you have given us. For these and every way we sin against you, we ask your forgiveness.

ONE: Christ lived for us. Christ died for us. Christ rose for us. Friends, hear and believe the good news of the gospel: in Jesus Christ we are forgiven.
ALL: Hallelujah! Amen!

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

O God, open our ears to your teaching, so that our mouths can learn to sing your praise, our feet can learn to follow your steps, and our hands can do your work in this world.
