Leader: Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Congregation: Forgive, O God, our unwillingness to accept your truth. Leader: As Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of God, we too might walk in newness of life. Congregation: Forgive, O God, our stubbornness to follow. Leader: We know that our old self was crucified so that we might no longer be enslaved to sin. Congregation: Forgive us, O God, when we yield to temptation Leader: If we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him. Congregation: Forgive us, O God, when we lack courage and conviction. Leader: So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus Congregation: Have mercy upon us, O God, and help us to come alive in Christ. |

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
