* Call to Worship (Responsive)
L How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! P My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. L Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young;n |

* Opening Hymn | There | Hymn #408 |
Prayer of Confession (Unison)
We came into the world in innocence, eyes wide open. You created us to live in a place of love and hope, to trust in you and grow in faith and works. We found happiness in the smallest things: bare feet on grass, the fast heartbeat of a baby bird held in a small hand. You were so real, dear Lord, and so near. When we grew older, we began to forget our sense of innocence. We cared more for ourselves than others, and if we were blessed we began to judge the less fortunate. If life was hard, we hid from you. Forgive us we pray. Remind us of the untouched grass and the hopeful, giving heart. Restore our inner light and set us on right paths, your path. We ask always in Jesus |

Assurance of Forgiveness
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |

Prayers of the People & Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
