* Call to Worship (Responsive)
One: Praise is to you, O God, to you who answers prayer. ALL: We come when our sins overwhelm us, and you forgive. One: Happy are we who choose to dwell with God. All: God blesses the earth with bounty, and we sing together for joy! All: Let us worship our holy God! |
||
* Opening Hymn | Come! Live in the Light! | Hymn #749 |
Prayer of Confession (Unison)
At times God, our prayers come from the heart when we honestly and openly come before you and listen for your guidance. But often we hide the truth of who we are, closing our hearts and believing we have all the answers. Forgive us God. Help us to be humbler in our prayer, trusting you more than we take pride in our judgements. Hear us, O God, as we offer you the confessions of our hearts. |
||
(A moment for silent reflection)
Assurance of Forgiveness
Hear these words of assurance: God stands by you and gives you strength, so that through you the good news may be proclaimed to all the world. |

Prayers of the People & Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
