God of light and hope, our comfort lies always in your nearness to us, your presence in our lives. When we rejoice, you are there; when we cry, you are there. When we strive to begin again, you are there. Your love never fails. Yet there are times when our love fails. When our faith stalls and we do not feel your presence. Help us, O Lord, to open our hearts always, to listen for your voice even when noise clouds our hearing. Forgive us our doubt, and fill us with praise for you, always, We ask in Jesus’ name, Amen. |
