|* Call to Worship|
One: Shout with joy to God, all the earth!
Many: Sing the glory of his name; make his name glorious!
One: Say to God, how awesome are your deeds!
ALL: All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to your name.
|* Opening Hymn||Fairest Lord Jesus||Hymn #630 (all)|
|Prayer of Adoration & Confession (unison)|
God of grace and mercy, we are so small in the vastness of creation! We are so small, and our time on earth so brief, yet each day we recognize your love for us through the beauty of the world around us, and the many ways you touch our lives. We remember the sacrifice of Jesus, your son and give thanks. For so many, Lord, the world is not beautiful. Too many struggle to live, struggle to be seen, bend under abuse and ignorance. Forgive our ignorance when we do not reach out, when we don’t use our voices and our faith to make a difference. Give us the strength to stand together, unafraid, moved to voice and action by a faith that can move mountains, where nothing is impossible. We pray in the name of the Christ, Amen.
|(A moment for silent reflection)|
|Assurance of Pardon|
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all.
|Gloria Patri||Hymn #581|

|Prayers of the People & Lord's Prayer|
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

|Prayer for Illumination|
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen
