Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
Creator of all, we receive your blessing and the promise of rebirth with joy and gladness! We sing to you for the mystery of life and victory over death. We surrender to your light in Jesus’ name. Why, then, do we worry? What makes us feel sorrow and regret? Release us, we pray, from the prison of doubt. Replace our weakness with your strength. Make us whole, we pray O God, for we are yours in Christ. Ame |

Life of the Church | Still, Still, Still | Elder Morella Larsen |
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |

Passing of the Peace | Angels, from the Realms of Glory | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |

Prelude | In My Heart There Rings a Melody | Praise Band |
Lord, open our hearts and minds by the power of your Holy Spirit, that as the Scriptures are read and your Word is proclaimed, we may hear with joy what you say to us today. Amen |

* Lighting of the Third Advent Candle | A Nativity Prayer | Steve & Christine Lutke |
Lighting of the Third Advent Candle: Leader: We light the candle of hope and peace again as we remember that Christ will come again and bring us everlasting joy. Today we light the third candle which is the candle of love. People: The third candle of Advent is the Candle of Love. It’s light is meant to remind us of the love that God has for us. Leader: Jesus shows us God’s perfect love. He is God’s love in human form. The bible says that, “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.†People: Love is patient, love is kind and envies no one. Love is never boastful or conceited, rude or selfish. Leader: Love is not quick to take offense, it keeps no records of wrongs, but rejoices in the right, the good and the true. Love never ends. All: We light this candle today to remind us of how God’s love is found in Jesu |
